The Way We See Now
A Collaboration of Photography and Poetry
Francine Ringold & Sam Joyner

speak to — even confront their subjects.
Dog Days:
A Way of Speaking
Francine Ringold
Since ancient times the dog days have been linked to Sirius the brightest star in the constellation of Canis Major. These are the days of the year with the least rainfall in the Northern Hemisphere and coincide with a time of extreme heat. Through the ages, the metaphorical applications have been myriad; these sultry days have given us a way of speaking about more than the weather.
